New Salon Opens on Pondfield Road in Bronxville

Mar. 24, 2021: After John Cola closed Studio One, the hair salon on Pondfield Road next to Topps Bakery, the spot was taken over by a new tenant in December. While the signage hasn’t yet caught up, the all-new salon, owned by Dila Prenga, is called The Bright Beauty.
Prenga’s 25 years’ experience includes previous ownership of a salon in her native Albania, as well as stylist jobs in Eastchester and Riverdale since emigrating to the U.S. She lives locally with her two children. Joining Prenga’s team are three stylists who worked at Studio One and four new stylists. Reception and assistant staff are also new hires.
Newly renovated, the Bright Beauty offers full-service salon services, including cut, color, and styling, as well as makeup and bridal services. The basement level is used for spa and nail treatments, including facials, massage, skin care, and waxing. Eyebrow threading and tinting are also offered.
Appointments for hair and makeup can be made using the salon’s online reservation system. Women’s haircuts are priced at $55 and up (with styling, $85 and up), men’s cuts are $40, and children’s cuts are priced at $30. Makeup services start at $100. Currently, new customers receive 20% off their first service.
The Bright Beauty is open seven days a week, as follows: Sunday, 10 am-4 pm; Monday, 10 am-6 pm; Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am-7 pm. The salon is on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
