Local Covid-19 Report: Cases Down: J&J Vaccine Should Help Increase Supply

Mar. 3 2021: Below is the local Covid-19 Report for this week. 

Local Covid Cases
 
Local Covid cases continued to fall this week. According to the Westchester County Covid-19 Dashboard, as of March 1, 2021, there were 15 Covid-19 cases in Bronxville, down from a high of 72 cases on January 11 and just about at the level they were prior to the December holidays. Cases in Bronxville have fallen every week for the past seven weeks. 

In total, cases in Bronxville and nearby fell by 179 last week.  You can view the Westchester Covid-19 interactive map here.

Vaccination Update

On March 2, 2021, the Governor's office reported that "now that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine has been authorized for emergency use by the FDA and recommended by the NYS Clinical Advisory Task Force, New York should start to see increases to its weekly vaccine supply."  He also said that New York will begin administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at state-run mass vaccination sites later this week.
