On February 15, Governor Cuomo's office announced that 1 million New Yorkers had been fully vaccinated, receiving both a first and second dose. He also said that approximately 10 million New Yorkers are currently eligible to receive the vaccine and that, while supply to the states has increased, the number of eligible individuals in New York "far exceed the supply coming from the federal government." He urged patience.
Vaccine Eligibility
Beginning February 15, adult New Yorkers with a number of conditions, including cancer, chronic kidney disease, pulmonary disease and other specific diseases qualify to receive the vaccine. Women who are pregnant also qualify. Click here for the full list.
