Thursday, November 23:  The Reformed Church of Bronxville will be hosting its annual Thanksgiving community dinner in congregational hall from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. There is a $15 suggested donation. For more information or to RSVP, contact  CLOAKING or call 914-337-6776.

Saturday, November 25:  The annual Katie Welling Memorial Run/Walk will begin at 9:00 am on the front lawn of The Bronxville School, with check-in from 7:30 to 8:30 am. The entry fee is $30. The age groups are 8 and under, 9-12, 13-18, 19-35, 36-49, and 50+. Click here for more information and to register.

Saturday, November 25:  The Bronxville Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring Small Business Saturday, when there will be special deals and free parking in certain locations. For more information, go to bronxvillechamber.com.

Saturday, November 25:  Boy Scout Troop 1 Bronxville will hold its annual firewood sale from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Bronxville Boy Scout Cabin on Scout Field (1820 Midland Avenue in Bronxville, near Kraft Avenue). On sale will be seasoned hardwood in bundles, trunk loads, and van loads. Also on sale will be decorated and plain wreaths (12” and 16”). Twenty percent of all of the profits will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Project. For more information, call Bill Chilson at 914-954-2294 or Rich Dower at 914-886-2537. There will be another firewood sale in the same place at the same time on Saturday, December 2.

Saturday, November 25:  At 3:00 pm, the Bronxville Public Library will be presenting international concert violinist Dr. David Podles performing an all-Italian program of Vivaldi and Paganini, Rossini and Puccini, traditional tarantellas and mazurkas, and Italian contemporary and pop music, both Italian and Italian-American. Monday, November 27:  The Bronxville Public Library will be presenting a lecture at 5:30 pm by John Crichton, the 7th Earl Erne, about Crom Castle, a home in Northern Ireland designed in Tudor Revival style featuring beautiful Gothic Revival archways and stained glass, which he inherited and his family still occupies. Lord Erne will speak about his family home, the challenges of maintaining such a property, and his plans for its future. Monday, November 27:  At the Concordia Books & Coffee series talk at 7:00 pm at the Sommer Center for Worship and the Performing Arts on the campus of Concordia College, Barbara Santarelli will discuss her memoir Everything I Never Wanted, which is about the importance of belonging, the impact of social isolation in childhood, and how her career in nursing enabled her to ultimately learn how to "belong to herself."
