ANDRUS Raises Over $150,000 at 11th Annual 'Golf Fore Kids' Outing

Jun. 24, 2015: The rain held off long enough so that participants during ANDRUS's annual "Golf Fore Kids" outing were able to play their 18 holes in support of the not-for-profit's work with children and families throughout the New York metro area.
The event took place on Monday, June 8, at the Ardsley Country Club in Ardsley-on-Hudson and raised $155,125 to benefit the organization.
Bryan R. Murphy, president and CEO of ANDRUS, shared, "Rain or shine--our intrepid group of golfers and corporate sponsors turned out to show their support during our important annual fundraiser. We are grateful to our event co-chairs James Black and Steve Condon, the committee members, and, of course, our sponsors, attendees, and donors for rallying to our cause."
The afternoon of great golfing for a great cause culminated in cocktails, dinner, and a spirited live auction. The lucky raffle-drawing winner of the much-coveted Apple Watch was Anthony Maucieri, who played on the foursome team sponsored by Benjamin F. Edwards & Co.
The generosity of the top three 2015 ANDRUS Golf Fore Kids Outing sponsors--Barbara & Ed Smith, Blackstone Heating & Air Conditioning Inc., and Jody & Mark Rollins & Chubb & Son--will have a direct impact on the work done in supporting children and families.

Fundraisers such as this golf outing help ANDRUS with its mission to nurture the social and emotional well-being in children and their families by providing funding that supports the breadth of essential programs and services provided by the agency. The not-for-profit reaches almost 4,500 children and families each year from the New York metropolitan area.

Organized in 1982, the Bronxville Beautification Council (BBC) is a not-for-profit organization administered by a volunteer Board of Directors. The mission of the BBC is to enhance and maintain the natural and man-made beauty of the village of Bronxville, with an emphasis on the downtown business district.

Boulder Ledge Garden Club
Founded in 1966, the Boulder Ledge Garden Club is rooted in a mission to inspire a deeper appreciation and love for gardening and flower arranging. The club is dedicated to fostering and promoting interest and knowledge in gardening.
The Club maintains Bronxville’s Bicentennial Park and other civic gardens. In 2019–2020 the club raised $18,000 to replace trees in the village, reflecting its active role in community beautification. It also holds garden therapy projects and educational garden trips for members.

Bronxville Giving Garden
The Bronxville Giving Garden is a community-centered garden that donates organic produce to Eastchester Community Action Partnership in Tuckahoe and Community Service Associates in Mount Vernon. The garden is also a gathering place where school children and volunteers can discover the joy of tending plants and growing food.

The Bronxville Green Committee is a volunteer organization that is part of the Village of Bronxville. It proposes and implements environmentally sustainable programs in our community.
