The 31st Annual Community Fund Golf Outing Scheduled for Monday, May 8

May 3, 2017: The Community Fund's 31st Annual Golf Outing will be held on Monday, May 8, at Siwanoy Country Club.
While the golfing portion of the day is already sold out, community members are invited to attend the evening festivities, which begin at 5:00 pm and include cocktails, a buffet dinner, our annual raffle, and silent and live auctions with some great items.
"Every year we are amazed at the increasing great range of auction and raffle items our committee has assembled," noted Robert Castano and David Scalzo, co-chairs of the golf outing.
The auctions, chaired by Kiri Wolfe, will feature a premier selection of prizes such as golf outings at top clubs; tickets to Giants football games, a Rangers hockey game, and Mets and Yankee games, including premium seats to Jeter's No. 2 Jersey retirement game; and four tickets to the U.S. Tennis Open with a behind-the-scenes tour with Patrick McEnroe. Also included are tickets to the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen, the sold-out U2 Joshua Tree Concert Tour, and the opera.
The annual raffle will offer a range of prizes including gift baskets, a set of TaylorMade M2 Irons, and gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses. In addition, this year there will be a special raffle to win a one-hour private tennis lesson with Patrick McEnroe.
"As always, we want to thank those community members and businesses who so generously contributed to our auctions and raffle," noted Melinda Burge, executive director of The Community Fund. "We also want to thank all of our sponsors, most notably our longtime grand sponsors, Pepe Auto Group and The Raffiani Family Foundation. Their generosity is what allows us to continue the tradition of our golf outing, now in its 31st year, and we are truly grateful."

Bronxville Beautification Council
Organized in 1982, the Bronxville Beautification Council (BBC) is a not-for-profit organization administered by a volunteer Board of Directors. The mission of the BBC is to enhance and maintain the natural and man-made beauty of the village of Bronxville, with an emphasis on the downtown business district.

Boulder Ledge Garden Club
Founded in 1966, the Boulder Ledge Garden Club is rooted in a mission to inspire a deeper appreciation and love for gardening and flower arranging. The club is dedicated to fostering and promoting interest and knowledge in gardening.
The Club maintains Bronxville’s Bicentennial Park and other civic gardens. In 2019–2020 the club raised $18,000 to replace trees in the village, reflecting its active role in community beautification. It also holds garden therapy projects and educational garden trips for members.

Bronxville Giving Garden
The Bronxville Giving Garden is a community-centered garden that donates organic produce to Eastchester Community Action Partnership in Tuckahoe and Community Service Associates in Mount Vernon. The garden is also a gathering place where school children and volunteers can discover the joy of tending plants and growing food.

The Bronxville Green Committee is a volunteer organization that is part of the Village of Bronxville. It proposes and implements environmentally sustainable programs in our community.

Bronxville Boy Scouts
The village of Bronxville has a long tradition of scouting. “The troops and packs of Bronxville have maintained the finest scouting organizations and have taught the boys of the Bronxville area to be leaders and outstanding members of the local, national and global communities.”
