Bronxville Spring Athletes Honored at 2026 Sports Awards

July 1, 2026: At the annual sports awards evening held in early June, Bronxville athletes were celebrated for their outstanding accomplishments during the spring season. A remarkable 53 athletes earned All-League recognition, and 14 were named All-Section. All-State awards for lacrosse will be announced in July.
The boys’ and girls’ lacrosse teams had standout seasons facing top competition from across the section and the state. The boys’ team won the Class D Sectional Championship against longtime rival Pleasantville, and easily won the Regional Championship before falling to top-ranked Cold Spring Harbor in the state final four.
The girls’ lacrosse team ended its season as sectional runner-up after losing to a strong Pleasantville team. According to laxnumbers.com, the Class D Bronxville boys’ team finished the season ranked No. 4 in New York, and the girls’ team was ranked No. 8.
Four Broncos were named USA Lacrosse Academic All-Americans: Thomas Freeman, Nick Martinelli, Brady Dolan, and Charlotte Murray. Murray was also named USA All-American.
The boys’ and girls’ track and field teams claimed League and Sectional Championships this spring, and twenty-four Broncos qualified for the New York State Championships. The girls’ 4x800m relay team, Finlay Rowan, Emerson Dennis, Ella McCalla, and Carina Winiecki, won the Class C New York State Championship. John Sekula was the state runner-up in the 400m hurdles.
